Today has been a very successful day, in my opinion.
Finding my diary was a great way to start and, from then on, it just got better.
For a long time I have been looking at my dvds thinking that I have to cull them. This I did this afternoon. Many haven't been watched at all and I've had them for several years so it was time to get rid of them. Because I would get very little if I sold, I've decided to see if the public library wants them. I have to go to the library tomorrow so it's perfect timing.
I've also hit my books. I have a lot of titles that I will not read again and other titles I have replaced with ebooks so I've culled them too. Some books I will offer to the public library and others will be going to Lifeline.
I love books but I really find much easier to read stories on my e-reader so it's time to stop being sentimental. Of course, there are exceptions. I am keeping all my Sherlock Holmes stories as well as those written by Elizabeth Peters. My quilting books - especially those concerning the history of quilts and their makers - will never leave my shelves. I love these books and reread them quite often.
I haven't finished but I think that it is time to relax.
